Biography

Steve began playing bass guitar while a teenager in London and “turned pro” in 1971 soon after leaving school. He continued performing with many groups, bands and working freelance until 2004 when a change in career was calling.

Having gone solo, he now plays a variety of music from around the world spanning the genres of pop, soft rock, calypso, country, reggae and folk, covering artists such as the Beatles, Stones, Kinks, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Buffett, the Eagles, Bob Marley and more.

Steve sings, plays guitar, harmonica, bass pedals and utilizes a drum machine. The guitar is routed through an effect allowing him to get exotic sounds such as steel pans, evoking the atmosphere of the Caribbean islands, string sections for lush ballads and sitars for the sounds of the sixties, etc.

Steve's ultimate enjoyment is performing as evident in every aspect of his playing.
